The Kerala Government Started Three Virtual Courts for speedy disposal of Traffic Cases in the state.
At present such courts are inaugurated at New Delhi, to dispose pending traffic cases.The virtual Courts in kerala are located in Trivandrum, Kochi and Kozhikode.
The Virtual Courts conduct online business . The litigants need not appear in person for trail at Virtual Courts.The Virtual Courts adjudicate cases submitted before it.

Procedure of Submission of cases for Trial
The traffic offences are now prepared by means of E Challan which is an Android base App working on the PC also.
The E challan is integrated with the Vahan as well as Sarthi applications of the MoRTH. When an offence is recorded using E challan data will be retrieved from the respective applications.The Challan will be transmitted to the Virtual Courts if not compounded within 15 days after preparation of the charge.The existence of the Challan as well as transfer to the virtual courts will be communicated to the Accused if the mobile number is updated in the Vahan or Sarathi or with the E Challan.
The accused or the owner of a vehicle or Driver can verify the status of E challan using the App or Web application .If he is ready to remit the fine charged on the Challan he could do so by scanning the QR code.Other wise will be transferred to the Virtual Court.

If the charges are denied in the Virtual Court the case will be transferred to ordinary Court for commencement of trail according to Cr PC.
There are four option to search the status of a case on Virtual Courts.Search based on Mobile Number,Vehicle Number,Parties name etc are possible.
