Drivers and Co passengers riding in the front seat are tends to wear seat belt in the Urban Areas. Whereas it is very poor in the rural areas.The MV Act 1988 ,stipulates that all passengers shall wear Seat belt and all riders including pillion riders shall wear helmet.
It is evident from statistics that if these provisions are implemented strictly drastic reduction in road accidents could be recorded.
