LockDown of RTOs

Lock Down is applicable to all the RTO s and Sub RTOs in Kerala.Only those engaged in Transportation Management at District Head Quarters as well as Taluk level offices are  decleared as Essential Service by the Goveremnt of Kerala. Consequentialy all the Motor Vehicles Offices in the entire state were remain closed until further orders by the Union and State Goverments.

Pending Services at RTOs

All the works related to Driving Licene,Learners License,Vehicle Registration  and its Renewal Fitness Certificate and Renewal ,Permit and Renewal are suspended .Offices were remain closed.

Expired Documents

The Documents issued from RTO offices except vehicle Tax related matters are issued under the Central Motor Vehicles Act 1988,for which  the Central goverment fix the validity.Considering the present lock down issues Central Goverement has extended validity of all documents ,which are expired on February 2020 ,till Jun 2020.By this notification valdity of all the documents including Driving Lciense,Registration,Temeperory Registration,Permit,Fitness etc are  valid till the period mentined by Central Goverment.

Fees and Fines

There will not be any additional fees other than prescribed for the service or fine or penalty  while renewing the documents before the period extended by the Central Goverment.

Right Now there is nothing to worry about your expired license or registration or permit .Stay Home Relaxed.

RT Offices In the District Other than Red Alert Zone to be opened

Goverment Decided to open the RTO & JRTO offices at Distric other than Kasargod,Kannur,Kozhikode,Malappuram from 21 April onwards.Only 1/3 of the staff will be attending the office.Public will not be allowed to enter in to the office for any reason.All fees and Taxes are to be remitted online.Manual Tax & Fees Collection will not be allowed.Completed application could be deposited in a box positioned  out side the office premises.After completing the service tha documents will be despatched to the applicant.
