Snow Tyre for Leh ride

Have you ever think of riding a vehicle in the  world  highest motor-able road @ KHARDUNGLA at leh? It is an amazing experience.When you realize that you are at the top of the world and holding a steering or handle you will again thrilled.Because Khardungla is always mighty as it says.Some times covered with layers of snow  and some times the roaring sounds of avalanche.But Khardungla is the best to drive in india .

But you have to be  little more  cautious  while driving at this place.Because the snow layer will make your tyre grip less and will be thrown down to the deep valley without mercy,you can witness skeletons of lot of vehicle faced bad luck. You need to take some precaution while driving snow covered roads.At these places the tyre grip will be minimum that make the vehicle skidding even without application of brake.The valleys are deep even in the first look.

Some Precautions  Suggested

It is better to fix  all terrain tyres or Special Ice Tyre in your vehicle first,This will improve the co efficient of friction with your tyres and the surface to give some stability.Then move slowly in the high gear to produce maximum torque.In some case you cant accelerate ,font worry the hill drivers are very helpful along with army people .They will come and push your vehicle or even tie your vehicle with ropes ,they are carrying to avoid causality.

If you are looking for some make shift arrangement just for this ride only, not going for all terrain tyres better get some t chain to cover the tyre thread to get improved friction co efficient.Such chains are available for economical price.Any way you should have any one of the option before you go an adventures drive during winter season.

Few other  points  Suggested

Keep   all the vehicle tyres in good tread condition always .Don not attempt with faulty tyres. Keep your fuel tank always filled.If situation is so warranted  you need to run the engine continuously.Before starting the drive also make sure that the preventive maintenance schedule is properly carried out and the battery condition is very good.

Best Vehicle Suitable for LEH LADHAK TRIP?

In fact that query depends  and vary from person to person and their interest. Even M800 can do it if the rider has confidence of the objective,despite the fact that ground clearance,traction ,tyre size etc are dominant factor.The best Choice is always an SUV with sufficient power and good suspension system to absorb the shocks to certain level. INNOVA, FORTUNER,etc are good choices.
