Speed cameras in Walayar route

The National Highway Stretch between Thrissur and Walayar in NH 566 will no be as good for speedster since the Speed Detecting Cams are using additional algorithms to calculate the average speed of the vehicle at a given distance. The MVD  is using different mechanisms to detect both the spot violators as well as violator for given distance namely between two camera points and may be between entire route. At present system riders are applying a smart brake just before the camera point to bring down the speed of the vehicle to escape from  speed detection,This kind of skipping is not possible in the new systems.

The MVD along with KELTRON has erected  around  37 speed detecting cameras at this region. All the cameras will be connected to the newly built Control Room At Kozhikode. The existing Cameras in the Kasargode stretch are also will be connected to the new control room.

The speed violates in this sector will get notice soon as the new control room will be made operational during the end of February 2019.The charge Memo to different offenders will be prepared and dispatched from this Control
