But What is Traffic E Challan or RTO E Challan?
No need for Confusion...
Both are same.
Earlier when traffic offences are detected by competent officer and Manual Cases were registered.
That practice is stopped now,
Now Such Manual Challan practices are replaced by Electronic Means.
E Challan is Electronic Form of Challan.
The Objective of both are same. Preparation of charges on traffic offences.
The manual methods were stopped as a part of bringing transparency and accountability among offices.
E challan is Web based Application as well as Mobile App.
The fine amount is entered in the data base of the E Challan.
Only thing left out is to pick the suitable offence.When it is done challan will be prepared automatically. The Fine amount will be automatically added.
The data will be recorded in the E challan Server and accessible from any where.
The officers are controlled by office admin.He is able to monitor the work status time wise,offence wise ,collection wise and all other possible ways.
Po S machines are provided to officers for collection of fine on the spot if any one wishes to compound instead of other legal steps.
The offender got option to compound the offence at the spot or later.
Collection of Compounding Fee ( Fine) in manual means is not possible.
If the offender opted to compound on the spot,he may use the debit card for making payment.
If the offender opt not to compound the offence and later wishes to compound he may do so by logging in to the portal.
The admin of the Enforcement Office evaluate the overall performance of the sub ordinates from his seat.
Every possible data format is available in VAHAN.
The E Challan is known as Traffic Challan when used by the Police department and it is known as RTO Challan when issued by RTO Officers.
E Challan need to be closed immediately as possible other wise will be submitted for prosecution.
When submitted for prosecution Virtual Courts take jurisdiction.
Active E Challan will prevent any service of the vehicle through VAHAN portal.
