MVD rocks with More online Services

MVD Kerala has announced more online  facilities for public.With the implementation of National Portals, VAHAN and SARATHI  applications good number of MVD services are available for online services.  Services like   Temporary Registrations ,Payment of Tax ,Fees ,Submitting applications etc were online  in the state even before the implementation of National Portals.These services were made available using the MVD Kerala web  application.

During the Covid 19 time also ,MVD is   able deliver fast and efficient service to the public through these portals without much difficulties.In addition to the existing services  ,Learners License is fully converted as online service.The submission of application for Learners ,Attending Learners Test and Print out of Learners License etc are  now online services.

The foot falls in the MVD offices are increasing day by day even in the time of Covid 19.People are not allowed to enter to the office except in certain cases.The completed applications  are collected through a box placed in front  of the office.The finished documents are delivered by post.Now certain documents are at the finger tip of the applicants .

Recently the MVD Kerala has announced printing of documents like Various Permit issued to vehicles except stage carriage buses ( Route Buses ) as well as Registration Particulars.At present these documents are printed and served from the concerned RT Offices.Now the applicant can take out the print out  using the application number.The MVD Kerala has clarified that such documents need not be attested by the MVD offices nor any Office seal is required,The authenticity of the document can be verified by scanning the QR Code.

As  per the Motor Vehicles Act 1988,all transport vehicles except goods vehicles below 3000 kg Gross weight are required to obtain  permit issued by the concerned Transport Authority to conduct service at public place.Other wise it will amounts to violation of Sec 66 of the Act  as punishable under Sec 192 of the Act.

All passenger vehicles like Contract Carriages,Tourist Vehicles,Motor Cabs,Passenger Autos and Goods vehicles  owners can now take the print out of the permit from any where out side the MVD offices.
