The Government of India is responsible for keeping central repository of data relating to Driving Licenses and its services in the country.The Motor Vehicles Act 1988 has incorporated special provisions for the same.As per the Amended act such data shall be in digital form.
Except Three states in the country the Driving License date of the other states are clubbed to the Sarathi portal.
