HIT and RUN Road Accidents Compensation Two Lakhs

A good share of road accidents taking place in India are HIT and RUN cases.It comes around 25 to 30 % of total road accidents in every year.The accident case of Actor Salman Khan was one of such case.The actor was convicted  in this case.

As per the Amended Motor Vehicles Act,the Central Goverment is duty bound to provide payement of compensation to the victim of hit and run case .This include both Death and Grevilus hurt.

The amount Fixed in the act for  death case is Minimum Two Lakhs Rupees and for Grevious hurt it is Fifty Thousand Rupees.The Amount may be higher depending upon the schemes and other directions.

For the implemetation of these provisons the Central Goverment shall make schemes and make such rules and fix officers empowered to implement the scheme.Violation of the provision will attrach imprisonment for a term 2 years of fine upto 25000/ rupees.
