The Road accidents in  the State of Kerala is increasing  in synchornisation with National Statistics.The total number of Road accident in the year 2019  is 4 1111  with  number of deceased raised to 4440 .The number injured also recorded increae to the 46055 mark.

Two wheelers are High Risk Takers

The statistics of road accidents available with Kerala Police is not happy for two wheeler riders.Around 32 to 33 percent of vehicles involved in Road Accidents in the Year  2019   are two wheelers.Similarily  Around  31 -32 % of fatal road accidents are also two wheeler riders or pillion riders suffer loss of life .The injuriy rate is also similar.Hence Two wheeler riders are in the hot seat in the state of Kerala.

During  2019,out of  41111 road accident recorded in the calnder year,in which 16949 two wheelers are involved.This is around 41.22 % which is the highest rate in the state.It were   41.09  % (16513 nos ) in  2018 ,38.60 %(14960nos ) in 2017 ,37.66 % (14849 nos) in 2016 and 37.12 % (14482 nos ) in 2015 respectively.Last year recorded an increase around 1.2 % which is very vital in reducing road accidents.
Similarily the percentage of  death case in  two wheeler riders or pillion riders are alos incresed for the last 5 years.It has reached 40.09 % in 2019  and were 38.11  %,33.18 %,34.38% and31.69 % respectively for the years 2018,2017,2016,2015.Hence the number of death cases are directly increased with increase in number of accidents in which Two Wheelers are involved.

Two Wheeler Population in The State
The Two Wheeler population in the state is increasing at steady pace,Now days regstration of  big vehicles are nominal but that of two wheelers are very high.People prefer to buy two wheelers for various reasons.Ease of access in traffic congestion area  increased its prioriy among city users.The economical comparison with  public transportatio facility and two wheeler along with  flexibility in time and  saving of time etc are  the main reason for the increase of Two Wheelers in our state.The trend will sustain with considerable growth rate.At present around  60 to 64 percent of newly registered vehicles,in each day,are two wheelers.

Causes of Bike Accidents

Real data as to the cause of each road accident is not available.Police records are the only source of data to derive the reason for road accidents.One of the major casue of road accidents is Over Speeding and Dangeours or Rash and Negligent Driving of vehicles at a public place/It is followed by Drunken driving or Driving under the influence of  Seditive Medicines.
As per the Police records ,reason for cause of accident  is more or same.

Repeated Cause of Death or  Severe Injuries
Helemet or Protective Head gear plays the vital role in this subject.Whoever wear an helmet,while driving a two wheeler in a public place his/her survival chance are very high.In such cases are very high.Head injury plays vital role in the life saving chance of  a driver/owner .
