Renewal of Driving License after age 50

Is it possible to renew Driving License after attaining  age of  50 years or above?
If possible is it so difficult for a common man to afford?
Lot of query are arising in this question of fact .
The answer is your Driving License can be renewed at any age at any time subject to your physical fitness only.For that purpose a Medical Certificate is Required.

Renewal of Driving License Above 50 Years
  • Application for Renewal of Driving License
  • Original Driving License
  • Renewal Fees 
  • Medical Certificate  issued by Registered Medical Practitioner in the Form Prescribed by Central Goverement.
  • Eye Certificate issued by Ophtalmologist ( For Kerla State Only)
  • Applications need to be submitted through Saradhi Portal
  • All the supporting service like ,payment of fees,submission of Application etc can be done from AKSHAYA or E sevan Kendra.
  • The Original MDL has to be produced before the authority.
General Provision for Renewal of Driving License
  • You can submit for renewal of your Lenience  one year prior to the expiry of your Driving Lenience.
  • You can submit for Renewal  within One year after expiry of Your Driving License
  • You can Submit for Renewal of License even after one year from date of Expiry.In such case  the applicant need to under go test of competence  and the Fees for renewal also shall be varied.
