In a Special Checking Program ,conducted by MVD at Toll Plaza ,Plakkad the Enforcement Team of MVD has stopped checked and seized Karnataka State RTC buses conducting service between Bangalore and Palakkad .The prime offence for such action was non production of Valid Permit Issued and Counter signed by the State of Kerala to operate such buses in Kerala State.
There will be a prior bilateral arrangement between both the state as to the number of vehicles to be operated between each states,details of route fare etc.As per the arrangement ,only both state can introduce trips between the destination.Based on this terms permits will be granted to t both vehicles belonging to both states.
According to RTO Enforcement ,Palakkad 27 vehicles in total,including Karnataka RTC have been stopped and checked and out of which 7 vehicles failed to produce the permits authorizing the service.All the vehicles were seized after offloading the passenger at the near by bus station at Thrissur.
Subsequently the Depot Mangers produced the original copy of the Valid Permits and vehicles released.MVD plans to continue the drive.
