WHO prepared an action plan to reduce road accident rate by 50 % by t year 2020.The project was launched.Kerala has prepared a master plan to implement the project .Kerala Road safety authority is the agency implementing the project in kerala with the help of motor vehicles department of the state.All the executive officers of the department are given proper training to implement the project.But the department is suffering with shortage of executive staff .Even though all the officers are willing to contribute there own part for successful implementation of the project.Road safety commissioner is the person monitoring implementation of the project.
